Almost two years after deadly shots of African American Alton Sterling in United States, responsible police officer Blane Salamoni has been sacked. Salamoni was relieved of his service with immediate effect, Baton Rouge chief of Police shared a press conference. His colleague Howie Lake, who is involved in incident, will be suspended for three days. The chief of police announced publication of furr video recordings on case. The Washington Post said, “Our police officers have higher standards.” Fear must not be a justification for violence.

The street dealer, Alton Sterling, was shot on July 5, 2016, with two white policemen. A mobile phone video, recorded by an eyewitness, shows how officials threw 37-year-old on ground and kept it. One of officials fired several shots at Sterling. At first it was said that Sterling had been unarmed. A later video shows that Sterling wore a gun. It was not used in incident.
Only last Tuesday regional judicial authorities had ceased ir investigations. Attorney General Jeff Landry announced re would be no charge. Alton Sterling was armed and under influence of drugs and was opposed to his arrest, he argued.
Cases of deadly police missions against blacks have been triggering protests in US for years. Two weeks ago in Sacramento, California, 22-year-old family far Stephon Clark was shot in his own garden by policemen. The officers had kept his smartphone for a gun. An autopsy report published on Saturday shows that he was shot from behind.
