The explosion occurred in middle of morning traffic in a pedestrian tunnel of subway connecting stations of Times Square and bus station Port Authority. Police and fire brigades were coming out, ambulances lined streets. The area around bus station was temporarily cordoned off, trains of subway were stopped and diverted. The police called people to avoid area.
