The plaintiff came from Russian republic of Dagestan in North Caucasus, but grew up in Bremen. In March of this year, German authorities had decided to deport 18-year-old. The decision was based on man’s contacts with so-called “Islamic State”. According to authorities, man was trusted a terrorist attack in Germany, and he also expressed suicidal thoughts. In a chat with an Islamist from Essen, he is said to have agreed to an attack on civilians. Concrete plans should not have been made.

In March, authorities ordered detention. The native Russian sued his expulsion on grounds that he was threatening torture, surveillance or captivity in his homeland.

The European Court of Human Rights ordered in July to suspend deportation for time being, but lifted stop in August. In September man with Russian nationality was deported. It is not possible to object to judgment of judges in Strasbourg.
