Morton Grove Police captured the driver of a vehicle who struck three pedestrians — including a 2-year-old — and a house, and then fled the accident scene Wednesday, police announced in a press release.

The incident happened around 11 a.m., police said, and initial reports indicated that the dark-colored vehicle hit a man and woman, each in their 20s, the child and a house in the 8500 block of Menard Avenue.

All three of them are reportedly in stable condition, although police did not indicate if any of the victims were taken to area hospitals.

The three individuals sustained "unspecified injuries," police said in the news release.

Shortly after the pedestrians were hit, officers caught up with the driver, who was traveling westbound on Dempster Street, and made a traffic stop, according to the news release.

Yogini Tailor, a 54-year-old Des Plaines woman, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident in connection with the crash, according to Morton Grove police.
