MADRID, 24 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The residential developer Aedas Homes has received two of the main awards in the 21st edition of the ASPRIMA-SIMA 2024 Awards due to the application of a construction system based on a tall wooden structure and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the real estate.
Specifically, the company has won the categories of ‘Best real estate performance in free housing’ with the ‘Fioresta’ promotion; and ‘Best business initiative in innovation’ with the ‘GPT Arquitecta, powered by Nidus’ project, the promoter reported in a statement.
“These recognitions reaffirm that Aedas Homes is on the right path and is doing things well, promoting the evolution of the real estate development sector. The two award-winning initiatives demonstrate the company’s commitment to constructive and technological transformation through Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and AI respectively, two key vectors in the present and future of the industry,” said the General Business Director of Aedas Homes, Alberto Delgado.
‘Fioresta’, developed in San Juan de Alicante (Alicante) and presented for the awards under the candidacy ‘Fioresta, present and future of residential development’, is the first industrialized high-rise housing project with a wooden structure in the Valencian Community and one of the first in all of Spain.
Executed by 011h and designed by the director of Baumad Arquitectura, Ibán Carpintero, ‘Fioresta’ combines “a fourfold harmony: regarding the environment, constructive innovation, design architecture and well-being for the user,” the developer has reported.
With this award, ‘Fioresta’ becomes one of the most awarded residential developments, as it has previously been awarded at the international ‘Iberian Property Investment Award’ in the ‘Green Asset Initiative of the Year’ category (Best Sustainable Initiative in the Iberian Peninsula in 2022) and also received the ‘COPE Alicante Sustainability Award’.
The residential complex houses 51 sustainable homes (double A energy rating) with 2 and 3 bedrooms – with 102 industrialized bathrooms – and complete common areas.
All the wood used (1,149 tons produced through 100% sustainable forest management) allows storing 1,708 tons of biogenic carbon, which is equivalent to the emissions of 833 cars in one year.
On the other hand, the ‘Best business initiative in innovation’ category recognizes how the promoter has successfully implemented AI in the ‘GPT Arquitecta, powered by Nidus’ project.
With it, he has managed to reduce the time of the soil analysis phase and its architectural fit from two months to two weeks.
The ‘GPT Arquitecta’ project, promoted by the Technical and Technology departments of AEDAS Homes and Nidus Lab with its CEO and Founder at the helm, Ana Lozano, is “the first artificial intelligence trained with Aedas Homes’ own housing typologies, the commercial mix and the urban parameters, managing to maximize buildability, number of homes and built surface at a speed of 50,000 architectural fits per second.”
This platform deploys thousands of possibilities in seconds, optimizing every centimeter of the project and allowing architects to consider thousands of options in a matter of seconds to select the most profitable solution, the developer has pointed out.
The general business director of Aedas Homes, Alberto Delgado; the Co-CEO of the construction company 011h, José Manuel Villanueva and the director of Bauman Arquitectura, and Ibán Carpintero, have collected the award awarded to ‘Fioresta’; while the technical director of Aedas Homes, María G.Matiacci; and the Director of Applications and Data at Aedas Homes, Jorge Valero, were in charge of receiving the award for ‘GPT Arquitecta, powered by Nidus’.
