MADRID, 26 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Aldea Energy has installed a solar community in the Campollano Business Park, one of the largest in Spain, with the aim of supplying small businesses in the complex with renewable energy, reported the startup.
Specifically, the solar community is installed on the roof of an agricultural products company. The agreement signed between the Valencian company and the agricultural company consists of ceding the exploitation rights of the roof for 20 years, which have an area of 600 square meters.
Through this contract, the owners of the roofs receive the energy generated at no cost, thus promoting a collaborative model in which all parties involved benefit.
A total of 132 panels have been installed, which are expected to generate more than 100,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) per year with a power of 72.6 kWp. The surplus generated will be marketed through the subscription plan devised by the Aldea Energy marketer to offer the companies in this business complex clean energy without the need to invest in a solar installation in their offices.
According to Aldea Energy’s calculations, this solar community will benefit more than 20 companies located within a radius of two kilometers and will generate total savings of around 50,000 euros per year.
The company is managing similar projects in other autonomous communities such as Valencia, Andalusia or Extremadura. Thus, the company requests agility from the distributors that own the networks when starting up this type of facility that benefits consumers so much.
In addition, Aldea Energy has launched a solar energy service to accompany neighborhood communities in the ecological transition of residential buildings.
Thus, the model that they are implementing helps to overcome possible obstacles, since it is the company that is in charge of the payment and the installation of the solar panels in full and is in charge, during the following fifteen years, of the maintenance, insurance and management of the production.
