MILLVILLE — A man was shot after an argument escalated and one of those involved pulled a gun on the other, police said.
It was around 12:04 a.m. Saturday when Millville Police Department officers were called to the 800 block of Dock Street after being told there was a gunshot victim there, Millville Police Lt. Ross Hoffman said.
The victim, a 38-year-old man whose identity hasn’t been released, had been shot once in the leg, Hoffmann said. The man was airlifted to the Atlantic City Medical Center where he was later listed in stable condition, according to police.
Hoffman said investigators believe the man was shot after he and the suspect in the incident got into an argument. The suspect pulled a gun from his waistband and shot the victim once in the leg and fled, Hoffman said.
A single spent shell casing was recovered from the scene of the shooting, according to police.
The investigation into the shooting and the search for a suspect continue, Hoffman said.
