BAYONNE — The Bayonne Bridge and Holland Tunnel will undergo lane closures this weekend to accommodate construction work and repair projects, according to the Port Authority.
The Bayonne Bridge will be closed Friday, Feb. 3, from 9 p.m. through Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10 p.m., for construction on the “Raise the Roadway” project, according to the Port Authority.
The bridge will also be closed during weekday hours from here on out: Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — and overnight Mondays through Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The bridge will open at 4:30 a.m. “on certain weekdays” in order to provide an alternate route for drivers affected by traffic holds on the Goethals Bridge, according to the Port Authority.
The Holland Tunnel will have one westbound lane closed during overnight hours from Sunday, Feb. 5, through Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 11:59 p.m. each night through 5:30 a.m.
One eastbound lane will also be closed in the tunnel during overnight hours from Monday, Feb. 6, through Thursday, Feb. 9, from 11 p.m. through 5 a.m.
“These closings are necessary for ongoing concrete repairs in the tunnel,” the Port Authority said in an advisory.
