MADRID, 4 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –
BBVA will distribute tomorrow a complementary dividend charged to the financial year 2022 for an amount of 0.31 gross per share, which means that it will distribute a total of 1,869 million euros among its shareholders.
The bank obtained a net profit of 6,420 million in 2022, 38% more than in 2021. In February, it already announced that it would dedicate 47% of this profit -which represents around 3,000 million euros- to payment to shareholders, both through cash dividends and through a share repurchase.
On the one hand, the cash dividend has risen to 0.43 euros gross per share, the highest in 14 years and 39% more than in 2021. In October, BBVA already distributed a dividend of 0.12 euros, that tomorrow will complement with the remaining 0.31 euros.
These cash dividends are complemented by the new share repurchase plan that the bank launched on March 20 for a value of 422 million euros.
