A 15-year-old boy was shot late Wednesday morning on the South Side in the Englewood neighborhood, police said.
According to preliminary reports, the shooting happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Elizabeth Street, police said.
A boy suffered a gunshot wound to foot and was taken to University of Chicago Medicine, police said.
