Five Bonefish Grill, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Outback Steakhouse restaurants in New Jersey are among the 43 locations being shut nationwide by the parent company that operates the three brands.

Florida-based Bloomin’ Brands, which also runs Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, announced Wednesday that it was closing underperforming restaurants. 

The five New Jersey restaurants closing, according to spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts:

  • Bonefish Grill in Middletown
  • Carrabba’s in Egg Harbor Township
  • Carrabba’s in Evesham
  • Carrabba’s in Middletown
  • Outback Steakhouse in Lawrenceville

Sales at Bloomin’ Brands restaurants decreased 3.5 percent in the fourth quarter of last year and 1.9 percent for all of 2016, the company said. They have nearly 1,500 locations across the country.
