ATLANTIC CITY — The former Revel is not likely to re-open this weekend, according to a report on PressofAtlanticCity.com
Owner Glen Straub told the website he’s still waiting for the property, to be known as TEN, to receive its liquor licenses. The hotel-casino also awaits health inspections for its restaurants, spas and pools as well as a mercantile license, the report said.
In addition, doors remain boarded and Revel signage is still hanging, the Press said.
The property has 13 restaurants, a 32,000-square-foot spa, 55,000 square feet of retail space and a 7,000-space parking garage.
Straub said last month he wanted to be open for Presidents Day weekend.
The Revel cost $2.4 billion to build. It closed in September 2014. Straub bought it for $82 million the next year. He has repeatedly blamed government roadblocks in explaining why the hotel has not yet re-opened.
