The German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) is observing an increasing mobilization by AfD and or rights groups in companies before operating elections in spring. This is not about representing interests of employees, but of splitting workforce, said DGB-chief Reiner Hoffmann to editorial network Germany.

if ( typeof AdController !== ‘undefined’ !window.Zeit.isMobileView()) { if ( !document.getElementById( ‘iqadtile8’ ) ) { var elem = document.createElement( ‘div’ ); elem.id = ‘iqadtile8’; elem.className = “ad ad-desktop ad-desktop–8 ad-desktop–8-on-article”; elem.setAttribute(‘data-banner-type’, ‘desktop’); elem.setAttribute(‘data-banner-label’, ‘Anzeige’); document.getElementById(‘ad-desktop-8’).parentNode.appendChild(elem); AdController.render(‘iqadtile8’); if ( window.console typeof window.console.info === ‘function’ ) { window.console.info(‘AdController ‘ AdController.VERSION ‘ tile 8 desktop’) } } } if ( typeof AdController !== ‘undefined’ window.Zeit.isMobileView()) { if ( !document.getElementById( ‘iqadtile3’ ) ) { var elem = document.createElement( ‘div’ ); elem.id = ‘iqadtile3’; elem.className = “ad ad-mobile ad-mobile–3 ad-mobile–3-on-article”; elem.setAttribute(‘data-banner-type’, ‘mobile’); document.getElementById(‘ad-mobile-3’).parentNode.appendChild(elem); AdController.render(‘iqadtile3’); if ( window.console typeof window.console.info === ‘function’ ) { window.console.info(‘AdController ‘ AdController.VERSION ‘ tile 3 mobile’) } } }

“The fact that some ideologues use foolish slogans to exploit operating elections for mselves is no surprise,” said Hoffmann. So far, however, it is only a marginal phenomenon. The works Councils of DGB trade unions have grown. “The ors have nothing in ir backs. Their initiatives will burst like soap bubbles – because of inability, “Hoffmann said.

From mid-February to May 180,000 works councils in Germany will be re-elected. According to report, initiatives are also in favour of votes that are closely related to AfD and or right-wing groups in terms of staff and content. “The right thin-board drills on sidelines do not know what a proper union is and do not want to divide employees ‘ interests, but workers,” said chairman of Federation of Trade Unions.

According to Hoffmann, 75 to 80 percent of elected works councils are currently organized in a DGB union. “We can be very self-confident,” said DGB chief. The workers would know exactly what works councils were doing. “They ensure sensible working hours, shift plans and adherence to collective agreements.” In case of employees in companies with collective agreements and works council, approval of AfD is significantly lower than elsewhere.
