Basque Country, February 1, 2023.
Elon Energías Renovables is positioned as a leading photovoltaic company due to the success stories implemented in the Basque Country in recent months. The Basque Railway Network has joined renewable energies in a project in Lebario
According to data from the Climate Summit, during the year 2022 more than 40% of the energy generated in Spain has been renewable. Photovoltaic energy covers 10.8% of this percentage. The photovoltaic company Elon Energías Renovables has carried out various photovoltaic projects throughout the year 2022. One of the most technically challenging photovoltaic installations has been that of the Lebario complex, belonging to the Basque Railway Network (ETS), which uses the Euskotren as its infrastructure. This project has positioned the Basque firm as one of the most important in the country in the field of photovoltaics. A total of 220 solar panels with an inclined structure on a flat roof have been implemented in this photovoltaic installation. The total installed power for self-consumption reaches 118 kWp, which would cover the needs of garages, workshop areas and offices. The photovoltaic company has estimated that the savings that the installation will bring to the ETS will be €20,000 per year. Elon Energías Renovables has also evaluated the reduction of polluting gases into the atmosphere, placing this figure at 54 tons of emissions. This has been calculated based on other similar installations in nearby climatic zones. Elon bets on its website for user interaction and, therefore, has created a self-consumption calculator section, where private and public entities and homeowners and buildings can create a simulation of an installation. Project forecasts for solar panel installations and electric car chargers for 2023 are encouraging and once again place Elon at the top of photovoltaics within the Basque territory.
