USAA announced Thursday its Austin design studio has opened and eventually will employ 120 workers.
The design studio employees will be focused on providing USAA members with “even better service” and a “great experience” when they interact with the company, USAA said in a statement. The 20,052-square-foot office is at 201 W. Fifth St.
Meriah Garrett, USAA’s chief design officer, said that digital tools are becoming more important in how members do business with USAA.
“We have to be sure those interactions are intuitive and accomplish our members’ goals,” Garrett said.
The San Antonio-based insurance and financial services company serves members of the military community. It is one of city’s largest employers, with about 18,000 of its 30,000-person workforce based here.
