Mason at 11:44 a.m. Friday allegedly began arguing with the 39-year-old woman at the Travel Inn, 99 E. Moorestown Road, in Plainfield Township. Slate Belt Regional police did not state the relationship between the pair.

He then threw her to the ground and began kicking and punching her in the ribs and face, according to police. Mason also wrapped the plastic bag around her neck to choke her and put the pillow over her face as he threatened to kill her, police said.

After the alleged assault, Mason fled the hotel. The victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenburg for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
