The initial call came in around 4 p.m. for a report of a motorcyclist injured and a field fire along Hunsicker Road. A witness at the scene said several emergency workers were present, as well as Pennsylvania State Police in Bethlehem and firefighters.

Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim confirmed his office also was called to the scene.

Fire crews appeared to be roaming around a nearby wooded area. The witness reported seeing the motorcycle banged up following the accident.

Other people arriving at the scene were crying, according to the witness. It’s unclear if anyone else was involved in the accident.

A Lehigh County 911 Dispatch supervisor referred questions to state police. A trooper at the Pennsylvania State Police Bethlehem barracks confirmed there was a motorcycle accident, but said the crash was still being investigated and didn’t immediately have further information to provide.

The trooper said a news release would be sent out Sunday evening.
