Members of the Chicago Police Department’s SWAT unit have been on standby outside a Little Village home for several hours Monday.
Police first were called to a home in the 3400 block of West 23rd Street about 7:45 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance. After more than three hours, authorities remained outside the home without a resolution.
Police said the disturbance is between a 38-year-old man and a 68-year-old man. Details about their disagreement were not immediately released.
A portion of westbound 23rd Street was closed to traffic beginning around 8 a.m. and a perimeter of about three blocks has been set up.
