The $1 million Powerball ticket sold in New Jersey for Saturday’s Powerball drawing was purchased at Monmouth County convenience store.

The lucky winner bought his or her ticket at American Way Food Store on Route 35 north in the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, state lottery officials said Monday morning.

The ticket matched five numbers but not the Powerball. A ticket sold in Texas also matched five numbers but the buyer spent an extra $1 to exercise the Powerplay option so it’s worth $2 million.

The winning numbers for the $229 million drawing were 613161752. The Powerball was 25.

Wednesday’s jackpot is worth $255 million with a cash value of $154.4 million.

No one has hit the Powerball jackpot since Dec. 17. A Pennsylvania couple who played in Delaware won the $121.6 million prize.

The odds of a $2 ticket hitting the jackpot are more than 292 million to 1. It’s roughly an 11,688,053 to 1 shot to match five numbers but not the Powerball.

Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
