1 Mutt Derby: Back after a 20-year hiatus, the hilarious day of non-greyhound racing on the Derby Lane track opens at noon Sunday. It’s free for spectators to watch pets line up by weight division to race (many choose to run the wrong way). If you want to enter your mutt, registration begins at 11 a.m. Bring proof of vaccinations and $25. There will be other pet-friendly activities and vendors on site. 2 1980s parties: This is a good weekend to break out your acid-washed jeans because Friday brings an ’80s-themed Food Truck Rally at the Port of St. Petersburg, with 10 food trucks, ’80s karaoke, a screening of Beetlejuice and lots of "big hair." Then 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nature’s Food Patch in Clearwater is celebrating its 30th anniversary like it’s 1987 with throwback prices, arcade games including Ms. Pac Man and Galaga, and Back to the Future and E.T. screened during lunch at 1225 Cleveland St. Free admission. 3 Motorcycle Expo and Bike Builder Invitational: Motorcycle builders from across the country compete for best bike at Quaker Steak and Lube, with metal rockers Quiet Riot playing Saturday. The giant ride-in motorcycle show will have vendors, a burlesque show, three days of live music, the Wall of Death Thrill Arena and a display of custom-built motorcycles. 5-10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at 10400 49th St. N, Clearwater. 4 Environmental Film Festival: The acclaimed film series at Eckerd College returns with scholars and filmmakers talking about their environmental perspectives. 5 Electronics Alive IX: The gallery at the University of Tampa hosts an exhibition of experimental computer animation and interactive digital work, open through March 3.
