Grammy-nominated country singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes will stop into Bethlehem this summer as part of the 2017 Yuengling Summer Concert series at SteelStacks.

Hayes will perform outdoors at the Levitt Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27. Tickets, which cost $35 in advance and $38 on the day of the show, are on sale now for ArtsQuest members and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, for the general public at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378.

The boyish, Louisiana-born country star, made famous by the No. 1 hit “Wanted” in 2011, will be making a return to trip to the Lehigh Valley after playing the Great Allentown Fair in 2014. Hayes was originally slated to play Musikfest that year, but canceled two days after the announcement because of a scheduling error.

Hayes made a name for himself in the country scene upon the release of his 2011 self-titled debut album, which topped the Billboard country chart and eventually went platinum. He was named best new artist at the 2012 Country Music Association Awards.

In the last few years, Hayes has shown interest in experimenting with different formats for his music. His most recent record, “The 21 Project” from 2015, featured three different versions of the same seven songs. Last week, he released an immersive, interactive music video for his new single “Yesterday’s Song,” meant to be watched while wearing a virtual reality headset.

Hayes is the second act announced to play a show at Levitt Pavilion this summer, joining previously announced alt-rock band Cake. The group is scheduled to kick off the series on May 25.
