Ward is back, and so is Hydra! New photos of the Framework in “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4 have surfaced on Twitter, and fans celebrating Brett Dalton’s return will be happy to see that he seems to be getting screen time with Daisy actress Chloe Bennet in an upcoming episode.
Season 4 of the ABC drama left off with all of the agents in the Framework, an alternate reality where Hydra won the events of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” With their victory, Ward survived, and it looks like Daisy is an agent for Hydra with him now.
Set photos recently showed up on Twitter, and they appear to show the two at a place that looks a lot like S.H.I.E.L.D.’s old headquarters. Now, however, it’s Hydra. It looks like Daisy is going to have to play along as Ward’s girlfriend until she finds her friends. Skyeward shippers will want to note Ward’s hand on her waist.
Other photos make it clear that Hydra has taken over. Their logos are everywhere, and it seems they are very anti-Inhuman. Posters reveal tag lines like “Inhuman Intolerable” and “Report Suspicious Activity.”
While it seems like Hydra is Big Brother now, we have to wonder if Daisy is still Inhuman. It’s possible that she never came into contact with the Terrigen if Hydra successfully took over. However, it’s also possible that she is hiding her powers. Aida said that the Framework fixes just one regret for each of the agents. That might be related to her powers, but it also could be about Ward. Did Daisy manage to make Ward a good guy in this reality?
We won’t find out the answer to that for several weeks. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4 won’t return until April. When it does, Daisy and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) will be the only ones who realize that they’re in an alternate reality.
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 4 will come back with all-new episodes Tuesday, April 4 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
