Warning: Spoilers ahead
At least Chicago loan coordinator Jamie Newland will be able to afford many, many more Cubs games.
Newland, who told "Jeopardy" host Alex Trebek he attended Game 5 of the World Series last year at Wrigley Field, placed third on Wednesday’s episode of the quiz show after winning two consecutive games.
Newland earned $29,899 over the episodes that aired Monday and Tuesday. He incorrectly answered the "Final Jeopardy" clue about a U.S. law. Ohio attorney Emmett Robinson gave the correct answer and won, while New Jersey finance system manager Diana Ascher placed second.
"Jeopardy" airs 3:30 p.m. weekdays on WLS-Ch. 7.
