“Game of Thrones” will be returning to HBO for Season 7 before you know it and, according to the show’s stars, fans are in for a wild ride. Little is known about the penultimate installment of the series at this time, but as the rumored premiere date looms closer the cast has been more open.
Stars Alfie Allen, Jacob Anderson and Liam Cunningham recently opened up to Mashable about what’s to come in Season 7 of “Game of Thrones.” All three agreed that the second to last season of the HBO series is an attempt to tie up loose ends before the series comes to an end in Season 8. The overall sentiment was that Season 7 will cover a lot of ground, but won’t “feel like a panic.” Allen added that it’s going to “be a crazy season,” teasing confrontations between characters that haven’t previously met and much, much more.
“It’s definitely going to blow a lot of people’s minds,” Allen told Mashable. “It’s still the same running theme; characters that haven’t crossed each other’s paths before will do, and they’re gonna take it even further this time. People have loyalties that they have to examine.”

Allen did not touch on recent odds regarding the first death in Season 7 of “Game of Thrones.” According to bets placed by fans on Oddsmakers, his character, Theon Greyjoy, is thought to have the highest chances of being killed before anyone else in Season 7. Not far behind are Melisandre (Carice von Houten), Ser Davos (Cunningham) and/or Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen).
While we don’t know exactly what’s in store for Theon and the rest of the “Game of Thrones” cast, photos snapped by fans during filming have provided some insight. Pictures obtained by Celebuzz from the set in Bilbao, Spain, tease a major confrontation between Theon and Jon Snow (Kit Harington). The pair have not seen one another since Season 2, when Theon betrayed the Starks.
One photo shows Jon grabbing Theon by the collar while standing on a shoreline. Another, which appears to have been taken moments later, shows Jon pulling Theon. It’s not clear what is going on in the scene but it looks serious. It is also worth noting that the photos are taken in the same area Jon was spotted meeting Daenerys (Emilia Clarke). Theon and his sister Yara (Gemma Whelan) have joined forces with Daenerys, which may be where Allen’s spoiler about loyalties and first-time confrontations stems from.
“Game of Thrones” is rumored to be returning in June.
