“Married at First Sight” stars Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner announced Tuesday they are having a baby, just six months after Otis suffered a miscarriage. The couple shared the “bittersweet” news by sharing a cute photo of her bare baby bump with a beautiful rainbow and small footprints drawn on her stomach.
“We are PREGNANT!!! Our sweet Baby Hehner is due this August,” Otis wrote. “Of course I share so much about our little #rainbowbaby with you all on my blog.”
In July, Otis and Hehner lost their first child, and coincidently learnt about the arrival of their next child on the due date of Johnathan. The miscarriage was very difficult for Otis and she constantly shared her grief with her fans through her blog. Last year in July she revealed that she and her husband, who met on their wedding day on FYI’s Nakitbahis “Married at First Sight” in 2014, decided to name their son Johnathan Edward Hehner.
“It was this day that were dreading,” Otis told Us Weekly. “Then I take a test and get a confirmed positive.”
The reality TV stars celebrated the news of the second baby quietly at home in New Jersey.
“We just cried and laid in bed crying happy tears and sad tears,” Otis told Us Weekly. “It was so bittersweet. We were thinking about Johnathan and the new baby in my belly. It was almost too much to take in all in one day.”
While sharing her experience of being pregnant again, Otis said: “The other day we had an ultrasound and I could see the baby moving its little arm buds!” she gushed, adding: “It was unbelievable. This is when I wish I had a camera crew around me so I could see that moment again and again.”
The magazine also reported that Otis and Hehner are planning a gender reveal party for March 10, and that the former thinks that “maybe it’s a boy!”
