It appears Melissa McCarthy may have set a dangerous – yet funny – precedent on Saturday night.
She drew plenty of praise after her animated portrayal of White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Saturday Night Live, even prompting Spicer to tell Fox News it was "cute" before suggesting Fox focus on "the issues the president is so committed to helping Americans on."
Now, McCarthy might have a little competition. Rosie O’Donnell tweeted that she would be available to play Trump adviser Steve Bannon … if asked.
While it would be hard for O’Donnell to top McCarthy’s dead-on impersonation, she does have one thing going for her: an actual feud with Trump, complete with back-and-forth insults including one in which Trump called O’Donnell a "pig."
