Behold, “The Big Bang Theory” in Lego form.
In honor of “The Lego Batman Movie” (now playing), Warner Bros. brought the iconic colorful bricks to its most popular television show.
This week the sitcom has been running two promos during its syndication airings that feature the toy-caped superhero voiced by Will Arnett visiting Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) apartment — complete with the entire main cast animated with Legos. The marketing stunt even includes a custom opening-credits sequence with the Lego-fied cast seated on the couch to run through the film’s release.
It’s not the first time the toy brand has teamed up with a TV show. “The Simpsons” got a Lego makeover for its 550th episode in 2014, and last fall an animator had some fun re-creating a gory “Walking Dead” death scene with the bricks.
