As New Jerseyans prepare for the romance of Valentine’s Day — and hopefully a good meal — let’s take a look back at where couples have gone to enjoy a meal in the Garden State, specifically on Feb. 14.

Click through the photo slideshow above to see the 10 New Jersey restaurants that were most visited on Valentine’s Day in the last five years, according to data provided from the popular social app FourSquare.

Foursquare ranked these Jersey eateries according to an algorithm that assigns a rating based on user activity: likes and dislikes, tip sentiment and more. Of course, these rankings do not necessarily reflect the best restaurants in New Jersey, but these are the spots folks checked out — and “checked into” — most often in the last five Valentine’s Days.

There are three Jersey City hotspots featured on the list and a few other Hudson County favorites. South Jersey makes an appearance with a Collingswood favorite, and Bergen County is also well represented.
