It will be a long wait for “Westworld” fans because Season 2 will air only in 2018.

However, HBO will be releasing the Season 1 behind-the-scenes footage on on Monday, March 6 to help them get over the long wait. Entertainment Weekly has obtained exclusive footage for it, and is sharing what the series stars are saying about their characters.

“It’s empowering playing a character who is so clear about what she wants to do,” said Thandie Newton, who received a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Maeve Millay.

Fellow Golden Globe nominee Evan Rachel Wood, who plays host Dolores Abernathy, revealed the challenges of playing a non-human who thinks and operates like a real person.

“It’s been fun figuring out how the hosts work and to be a part of something that you’re helping build from the ground up,” she said. “You’re setting a tone and you’re making a new style of acting.”

One of the biggest surprises concerning Wood’s character is that she is also the villain named Wyatt. It was a reveal made during the season finale, and for Wood, it was a pretty cool albeit heartbreaking twist.

“We’ve seen Wyatt poking his head out throughout the entire first season. We just didn’t realize it,” Wood told USA Today. “Any time Dolores gets that dark cloud over her and goes into full badass mode, that’s Wyatt. I didn’t know that when we were filming it, so I had the same reaction looking back and going, ‘That’s why (the writers) kept asking me to be dark and menacing in weird moments.’”

Dolores also killed Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) during the season finale, but it’s still uncertain whether or not his character will return next season.
