If there is a time of year where the French like to put the small dishes in the large, it is the eve of Christmas. In 2018, a family of four will spend on average € 129 euros for the meal, according to a study Cofidis*. It is roughly the same amount in 2017.

1,5 kilo of chocolate
Each household will be purchased for 29 euros of chocolate, on average, which is equivalent to 1.5 kg, of which 20% directly from the craftsmen, for quality. In this area, Christmas represents approximately 10% of annual sales, twice as many as at Easter, according to figures from 2016 the union of chocolate.
Wine, champagne, oysters, and log
