Grenergy has closed the sale of the entire 150 megawatt (MW) Belinchón photovoltaic park, located in Cuenca (Spain), to a European independent renewable energy producer (IPP) for an enterprise value of 173.7 million euros , as reported this Tuesday by the company to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

In this sense, the company has also detailed that this figure includes a debt of 84.9 million euros.

The renewables group has highlighted that the operation will generate a net cash inflow of 93.4 million euros and approximate capital gains before taxes of 69 million euros, which will be accounted for in the gross operating result (Ebitda) for the third quarter. of 2023.

This operation is part of the first milestone of the company’s plan known as ‘Project Valkyria’, which contemplates the divestment of up to 1.1 gigawatts (GW) of solar assets in Spain.

Grenergy obtained a net profit of 4 million euros in the first half of the year, which represents a drop of 54% compared to the same period of the previous year.
