HARRISON — A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder and weapons charges after shooting a woman Saturday morning, according to police.
Harrison police, with assistance from the Jersey City police, arrested and charged the Washington Street man Saturday at 2:40 a.m.
The victim, a 33-year-old woman, is being treated for two gunshot wounds labeled as life-threatening, said Lt. David Doyle of the Harrison PD.
Additional information on the woman’s condition was not available, nor were details surrounding the shooting. Police wouldn’t say how the man and woman were related, but it appears to have been a domestic violence incident, police said.
The incident is still under investigation. The name of the man charged is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
