A 33-year-old man will appear at the courthouse on Friday, after hitting a 29-year-old man the day before during an altercation followed by a road trip in Saint-Faustin-du-Lac-Carré, in the Laurentians.
The altercation took place around 11:30 p.m. between two individuals in the suspect’s vehicle on Allée du 15, before the driver immobilized his vehicle in a fit of anger.
The 30-year-old voluntarily hit his passenger who got out of the car, before fleeing and exiting the road on Route 117.
After research, the suspect was finally arrested by police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), spokeswoman Hélène St-Pierre said.
The victim was transported to a hospital to treat injuries that are not life-threatening, said officer St-Pierre.
