Just how warm was it on Saturday? Warm enough for a swim in Easton, and just enough to tie the day’s record high.

The National Weather Service shows that the day reached 67 degrees in Allentown, matching the record set in 2011.

Sunday’s forecast high is 61, two degrees shy of that day’s record set in 1997.

“It’ll be close,” said meteorologist Mike Silva in the weather service’s Mount Holly, N.J., office.

For the record, normal highs for this time of year are in the low 40s.

How long will the warm weather last?

Forecasts show some temperature swings over the next week, with more abnormally warm weather expected around midweek.

The weather service also noted on Friday that by March 1, Allentown will have recorded 23 consecutive months — dating back to March 2015 — of above-normal monthly average temperature.
