It seems as a society — or in corporate fast food boardrooms — we’ve decided to replace all our bread with breaded bird.
Doubling down on what they started with the Double Down, KFC has a chicken-crust pizza that’s overtaking Asian countries: the Chizza.
*shudder*
It started in the Philippines, but has since spread to India and, most recently, Singapore.
It appears the chicken base is topped with pizza sauce, cheese, ham, pineapple and a yellow cheese sauce (though apparently pepperoni varieties are available).
This concoction echoes the Domino’s Specialty Chicken that was released a few years ago in the United States — a similar mashup of greasy chicken and cheese and pizza toppings.
You also may recall that Taco Bell now has a chicken-wrapped chalupa. Are carbs illegal now or something?
Will the Chizza invade our shores? Can we hold strong against this scourge? It reportedly remains unclear whether we’ll topple to this atrocity.
