FRANKLIN LAKES – A North Bergen man was arrested Thursday after allegedly bringing a 9mm handgun to work and placing it in his desk, authorities said.
Orlando Gonzalez, 45, was arrested after a co-worker found the gun in Gonzalez’s desk at Daman Associates Inc., an insurance agency on High Mountain Road, police said.
The co-worker called police, who sent detectives to the business.
Gonzalez was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, police said.
A woman who answered the phone at the business on Friday said the company would have no comment.
