NORTHRIDGE >> A man, approximately 70 years old, suffered critical injuries Monday and had to be extricated from a vehicle that struck a tree in Northridge.
Firefighters and paramedics dispatched at 12:57 p.m. to the 17500 block of Parthenia Street rushed the motorist to a local trauma center, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
No other injuries were reported.
