Jamel Griffin, 25, of Brentwood, N.Y., was arrested on Thursday in his hometown, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said in a press release.

In October, four people were arrested in a South Hackensack hotel for allegedly forcing underage girls into prostitution, Grewal said at the time.

Investigators later located three juvenile females who told them they had been transported to the motel “for the purposes of engaging in prostitution,” Grewal said.

Griffin, who was wanted in the sting, remained a fugitive since October when the FBI issued a warrant for his arrest.

The Long Island man was charged with human trafficking, promoting prostitution of a juvenile and endangering the welfare of a child.

Griffin is being held in the Suffolk County Jail while awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
