Veteran Marc Dupré will have three new coaches by his side for the return of La Voix next winter to TVA. And we are talking about big names since it is Corneille, Marjo and Mario Pelchat who will take their places in the other red armchairs.

Corneille, Marjo and Mario Pelchat need no introduction. Like their comrade Marc Dupré, they lead a flourishing career and are real beasts of the stage. With their impressive background, they have a lot to offer future members of their team as well as the general public. And the best thing about it all is that they complement each other.

Known across the Francophonie, Corneille has just released his ninth album, Encre rose. It was in Montreal that his musical adventure began 25 years ago. The artist now wants to shine other talents. The first “soul” singer to become a coach, he had been a mentor for Marc Dupré’s team in 2017.

“Corneille has the wind in his sails more than ever, people love him, he’s a nice guy, he’s always worked hard. He has a voice and a sound of his own, he has an impact and resonance with young people. He makes the crowds dance and sing, all in French with material he produces himself,” La Voix content producer Émilie Fournier told QMI Agency.

After marking Quebec rock with Corbeau, Marjo continued her solo adventure by offering dozens of hit songs that still resonate. Close to her emotions and authentic, the singer-songwriter will be one to watch.

“Marjo is generous, bubbly, open, she has a taste for giving. Marjo is touched by talent and by the new generation. It’s definitely going to be fun to watch her go. Everyone knows her, everyone knows her songs,” added Émilie Fournier.

Mario Pelchat has been in the industry for four decades. In addition to constantly enriching his repertoire, he turned to production and management, allowing several talents to emerge over the years.

“Mario Pelchat told us that he hoped to become a coach at La Voix. He said yes right away. For him, discovering new talent, it turns him on and he has a whole voice,” the content producer said.

Finally, Marc Dupré will be on his eighth appearance as a coach in nine seasons of La Voix. As well say that it is part of the furniture. The one who has just hosted Star Académie and launched a new album has plenty of shows on the program for the next few months.

“Tell me about a guy who doesn’t let go of his world, who keeps talking to them, who therefore likes to write tunes to sometimes give to others. He shares, he is very appreciated. I find it fun that the coach with the most experience comes back and is a pillar. He will be able to support the other coaches, ”said Émilie Fournier.

We will have to wait a little longer before knowing the identity of the “supercoach”.
