Stanley Wilson IIWoodburn Police
Stanley Wilson II was arrested once more on Saturday after allegedly attempting to break into a Woodburn home.
In a call to Woodburn police around 2:09 p.m., the caller said Wilson was “making alarming statements” to a homeowner in the 2000 block of Citadel Street, police said.
According to police, Wilson drove up in front of the residence and approached the homeowner as they stood in their garage. The homeowner said Wilson was “acting erratically,” so the homeowner shut the garage door and contacted police.
Police said Wilson made attempts to get into the residence in both the front and back doors but was unsuccessful.
When police arrived on the scene, Wilson allegedly emerged from a backyard shed, naked. He cooperated with officers and was taken into custody.
Wilson was transported to Marion County Jail and booked on several charges, police said.
Wilson is a former Detroit Lions cornerback who played college football for Stanford.
This latest run-in with police marks his third in the last year. He was shot by a homeowner in June during an alleged break-in, and was arrested in January after found him naked outside another stranger’s home.
Wilson tested positive for methamphetamine in November during a routine test, and was ordered to undergo drug treatment at the time. As of January, he had attended one session.
