Divers from the Chicago Police Department’s marine unit Sunday afternoon were searching the Columbus Park lagoon for a missing person, police said.
About 2:45 p.m. authorities got a call about a person in the water at Columbus Park, in the 500 block of South Central Avenue.
A body had not been recovered as of 3:35 p.m.
Officials could not release the identity of the missing person they were searching for.
