Rep. Walden, did you see the article, “How Will Oregon Fill the Medicaid Gap?” in The Oregonian (Feb. 5)? The article highlighted the percentages of the population, by county, of Oregonians taking advantage of the benefits of the Affordable Care Act.
If you read the article, then I’m sure you noticed that the counties with the highest percentage of people enrolled in Medicaid are Oregon counties that you represent in Congress. If you didn’t read it, you should.
If you continue your desire to get rid of the Affordable Care Act, your constituents will suffer the most.
So how about this? Would you please spend a little less time following the party line, and a little more time representing the wants and needs of your constituents? Promote affordable health care for all. We pay for yours, why can’t you help us keep ours?
