In a large-scale search, police in Baden-Württemberg Lauffen arrested six suspects. They were supposed to have perpetrated a fire attack on a Turkish mosque three months ago by throwing several Molotov cocktails through a window at night. The detained are five Turks and a Syrian between ages of 19 and 30 years, shared police and public prosecutor’s office. 200 officials, including special forces, were involved in raid.

They did not say more details about accused. According to earlier statements, y assumed that perpetrators belonged to an extremist Kurdish youth organization from environment of banned Workers ‘ Party of Kurdistan (PKK). They referred to a video published online.

During raid, forces searched ten premises in Heilbronn area and Neckar-Odenwald district, located north of city. They confiscated mobile phones, computers, written documents and or possible evidence.
The fire attack in Lauffen was one of several similar cases in which Turkish mosques, cultural associations and shops were attacked in March. The deeds were presumed to be in context of an offensive by Turkish military to majority of Kurds inhabited city Afrin in civil War country Syria. In many cases, re were corresponding clues like slogans on walls.
