We see all the teachers, who are union members, complaining about Donald Trump’s secretary of education nominee, Betsy DeVos, because she supports charter and private schools receiving taxpayer money when student’s parents choose to send them to an alternative to the public school system. Then we see all these college students rioting and protesting Trump because their college professors have been indoctrinating them toward the left while in school.
Why must we as taxpayers be forced to continue to support a system that lies to our children? There is an old saying that goes “You don’t have to go to school to be an idiot but sometimes it helps.”
With an alternative to public schools, parents can choose to send their children to schools that won’t indoctrinate their children with “values” that are contrary to their own. With added competition comes added excellence. Public schools would have to compete with private ones in order to receive funding. That is good for everyone. Another bonus is you get smaller class sizes without having to hire more union teachers, which is really all it is about, right?
Less money, more choice and competition makes American education great again. Let’s do it for the children.
