Now, Lower Saxony has also decided to create an envelope for severely handicapped identity card, which is “hard-in-order”. Various or federal states have done it. The idea was for 14-year-old Hannah Kiesbye from Pinneberg, who painted in a poem, how it would be to stand with a hard-in-order-ID at bus stop instead of a severely handicapped pass.
if ( typeof AdController !== ‘undefined’ !window.Zeit.isMobileView()) { if ( !document.getElementById( ‘iqadtile8’ ) ) { var elem = document.createElement( ‘div’ ); elem.id = ‘iqadtile8’; elem.className = “ad ad-desktop ad-desktop–8 ad-desktop–8-on-article”; elem.setAttribute(‘data-banner-type’, ‘desktop’); elem.setAttribute(‘data-banner-label’, ‘Anzeige’); document.getElementById(‘ad-desktop-8’).parentNode.appendChild(elem); AdController.render(‘iqadtile8’); if ( window.console typeof window.console.info === ‘function’ ) { window.console.info(‘AdController ‘ AdController.VERSION ‘ tile 8 desktop’) } } } if ( typeof AdController !== ‘undefined’ window.Zeit.isMobileView()) { if ( !document.getElementById( ‘iqadtile3’ ) ) { var elem = document.createElement( ‘div’ ); elem.id = ‘iqadtile3’; elem.className = “ad ad-mobile ad-mobile–3 ad-mobile–3-on-article”; elem.setAttribute(‘data-banner-type’, ‘mobile’); document.getElementById(‘ad-mobile-3’).parentNode.appendChild(elem); AdController.render(‘iqadtile3’); if ( window.console typeof window.console.info === ‘function’ ) { window.console.info(‘AdController ‘ AdController.VERSION ‘ tile 3 mobile’) } } }
That was touching, wrote journalists. Many people rejoiced that girl with Down’s syndrome was heard by politics. Especially parents of disabled children applauded thrust. I totally understand. They often get feeling that ir own child is not in order as it is. They are glad if state once officially certifies to m that it is okay.
Besides, Hannah Kiesbye is of course absolutely right to criticize name of severely handicapped ID. No or country attaches as many negative labels to handicapped people as Germany and will also provide you with right identity card.
But do disabled people really need a passport to get confirmed that y are “hard in order”? This measure can be put to good in annual reports of country’s disabled representatives and look forward to press. But it is pure symbolic politics.
if ( typeof AdController !== ‘undefined’ !window.Zeit.isMobileView()) { if ( !document.getElementById( ‘iqadtile4’ ) ) { var elem = document.createElement( ‘div’ ); elem.id = ‘iqadtile4’; elem.className = “ad ad-desktop ad-desktop–4 ad-desktop–4-on-article”; elem.setAttribute(‘data-banner-type’, ‘desktop’); elem.setAttribute(‘data-banner-label’, ‘Anzeige’); document.getElementById(‘ad-desktop-4’).parentNode.appendChild(elem); AdController.render(‘iqadtile4’); if ( window.console typeof window.console.info === ‘function’ ) { window.console.info(‘AdController ‘ AdController.VERSION ‘ tile 4 desktop’) } } } if ( typeof AdController !== ‘undefined’ window.Zeit.isMobileView()) { if ( !document.getElementById( ‘iqadtile4’ ) ) { var elem = document.createElement( ‘div’ ); elem.id = ‘iqadtile4’; elem.className = “ad ad-mobile ad-mobile–4 ad-mobile–4-on-article”; elem.setAttribute(‘data-banner-type’, ‘mobile’); document.getElementById(‘ad-mobile-4’).parentNode.appendChild(elem); AdController.render(‘iqadtile4’); if ( window.console typeof window.console.info === ‘function’ ) { window.console.info(‘AdController ‘ AdController.VERSION ‘ tile 4 mobile’) } } }
Moreover, term “severely handicapped card” is not even worst. The flags that ID lists are really bad. The description of my disability is actually quite simple: I can’t go. I use a wheelchair, always. But German social code has provided no less than four marks. The Integrationsamt gave it to me early on, among or things an AG (extraordinary walking difficulties). A degree of disability is still on top: 100 percent – no more.
H stands for helpless
Especially symbol H for helpless makes culture of German welfare system clear. No or country in Europe certifies people as many deficits as Germany. Instead of enumerating se, one could simply define achievements that are owed to a human being. I do not want to be stigmatized as helpless, so that I can get an increased tax allowance.
The identity card is completely absurd when it is used to deny rights instead of granting m. There have been several cases in recent years in which disabled people who wanted to go alone in swimming pools or cultural events were denied access because ir ID was a b for accompanying persons. That you have a right to take a companion and not a duty, was not to make staff understand.
Why do I need ID? How do or European countries manage to grant some very similar partial compensation – without any identification? The answer is simple: with less bureaucracy and a better understanding that people have different needs.
To give people with disabilities who are dependent on accessible public transport a free annual ticket, which is n also accepted by or transport links. In Germany, people need a brand name in addition to severely handicapped card for free use of local transport. So why not give m tickets at a discounted price or free of charge? Then you wouldn’t need a severely handicapped card or a heavy-in-order cover. Parking for handicapped parking is also available abroad. Anyone who shows decision to determine disability will get one. Those who receive child allowances do not have to leave a parental card first.
