on Thursday 11 June 2020, Météo France has listed the Corsica vigilance yellow “storm” up to 18h. However, for a few hours at Ajaccio to the torrential rain beat down on the city. The district of the Salines (north-east of the city) is particularly affected. In the early afternoon, the weather reached the quarters of Pietralba, Ring road and Mezzavia. These pourings of water have caused many material damages. A Ajaccien related to France3 : “in Ajaccio, I am the first to have lost my car. I have the water up to the knees. I no longer have the car, the electrical system, everything, everything is going… I just buy it.”
