On the Jan. 16 editorial page you used the headline “Dumb & dumber.” I think this headline would have been more appropriate on the article explaining that the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program approves soda and other unhealthy drinks but prohibits cleaning supplies that help stop the spread of diseases ( “Almost 10 percent of food stamp usage goes to purchase soda” ).
Usually I believe our politicians are good, honest and hard-working individuals. Unfortunately, I think they may have been sniffing the cleaning supplies when they passed these requirements.
