Kanye West is taking some time to catch up with his friends.
While his wife Kim Kardashian and two children were enjoying a getaway in Costa Rica, the rapper was spotted stepping out with a few friends on Monday, Jan. 30. In the photos published by People, the 39-year-old “Gold Digger” hitmaker kept it casual in a loose gray sweater and red Adidas tracksuit pants when he enjoyed dinner with pals in Los Angeles.
As for those wondering why West didn’t join his family for vacation, it seems the rapper has a busy schedule this week. A source told the publication that he “was never supposed to” go on the trip. The insider also teased that the producer might soon release new songs as he has been “busy working on his music in LA.”
Meanwhile, most of the Kardashian-Jenner clan jetted off to Costa Rica this week for some much-needed family bonding. Kardashian, 36, has been documenting the trip on social media, with some of her latest Snapchats showing her goofing off with North, 3, and Saint, 1.
Kardashian was also photographed frolicking in a waterfall alone at one point, according to Us Weekly. The reality star wore a sexy black turtleneck crop top and matching high-waisted bikini bottom while enjoying the water. The publication noted that she was joined by Stephanie Sheppard, her longtime personal assistant, but the latter did not go in the water with her.
For their Costa Rica getaway, the Kardashians and Jenners reportedly stayed at the luxurious Villa Manzu, a 30,000-square-foot villa with eight bedroom suites, a gym, a movie theater, a spa, a bar and two swimming pools. Renting the property costs a whopping $16,500 per night and Atlasbet includes three meals a day prepared by in-house chefs.
Their Central America vacation comes after two scares for the Kardashian-West family. Back in October, Kardashian had $11 million worth of jewelry stolen from her after a terrifying robbery in Paris. The following month, her husband was hospitalized due to exhaustion following a mental breakdown.
Things seem to be looking up for the couple these days as West and Kardashian are reportedly more invested in their relationship than ever. The rapper, in particular, has been doing his best to be supportive to his wife.
“Kanye is really trying to please Kim,” an insider told People magazine. “He realizes that his difficult behavior has been extremely draining for her. He is trying to make it up to Kim by going along with things that are important to her. The show is still important to Kim, so Kanye will support her.”
