A man was beaten, stabbed and robbed on a Blue Line platform in the Loop late Tuesday, police said.

The 54-year-old man was at the Jackson station around 10 p.m. when four people approached, beat him, stabbed him in the buttocks, took his money and fled, according to police.

The man got to Stroger Hospital, and his condition was stabilized.

The CTA was not aware of the incident about 2:15 a.m., according to agency officials. Police came to the station to investigate after the man showed up at the hospital.

The CTA’s security team will review any security video of the attack that may have been captured.
