There is good news from the Bublé family. Singer Michael Bublé’s son, Noah, is doing well since he was diagnosed with liver cancer in November. The singer, who is married to Argentinian actress Luisana Lopilato, took to Facebook to share the happy news.
“We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy,” the Canadian singer said in a joint statement Friday with his wife. “He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. We thank God for the strength he has given all of us.”
“Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words,” the 41-year-old added. “We’d also like to thank the thousands of people that have sent their prayers and good wishes to us. As we continue this journey, we are greatly comforted by your support and love.”
The singer postponed his career after the 3-year-old was diagnosed, canceling gigs at the BBC Awards and more.
“Michael meant it when he said he was going to step away from the spotlight,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight Online Friday. “He stopped all his work commitments and completely shut off his social media. He’s been with his son every day.”
“We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the U.S.,” Bublé wrote in his November statement. “Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well.”
Bublé added: “We have a long road ahead of us and we hope that with the support of our family, friends, fans around the world and our faith in God, we can win this battle.”
The couple share 1-year-old son, Elias, together, too.
